Happy New Year! Welcome to the January Edition of the Hearth and Soul Link Party. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and that you were able to celebrate with family and friends.
The Hearth and Soul Link Party welcomes family-friendly blog posts about anything to feed the soul. Things that feed the soul may include (but are not limited to) recipes, decorating, crafts, family, home, DIY, organization, travel, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
The party is now held monthly, opening on the first Sunday of every month. (The January Edition of the party is starting on the 9th as it allowed me to have a bit more time with my family over the holidays.) The party will remain open until the 25th of the month, or until 300 entries are reached.
Please continue to visit and share throughout the month. I will visit as many posts as I can, and share your content across my social media platforms.

What’s Been Happening – The January Edition
I am so grateful that we were able to celebrate Christmas and the New Year with our son Alexander and his partner, Hannah.
We also had a lovely time up in London celebrating their birthdays, which are just one day apart in early January. If you follow me on Instagram you will have seen some of our adventures in my stories.

I love learning new skills, and they often form a big part of my goals for the New Year. I have never made tortillas from scratch so I was really interested in Jean of Delightful Repast’s post about how to make Homemade Corn Tortillas!
Joanne of My Slices of Life shared A Sentence A Day For Gratitude in November and I was inspired by this alternative way of noticing the blessings all around us, even in challenging times.
If incorporating more healthy dishes in your diet is one of the things you are aspiring to this year, try Melynda of Scratch Made Food’s vintage recipe for Granny Dorr’s Easy Fruited Sauerkraut on Scratch Made Food.
