The May Edition – What’s New
How are things in your corner of the world?
Thank you so much to everyone who has commented on my new website design. Your positive response and encouragement has been so heartwarming! If you haven’t visited in a little while, you may notice a few changes around here – and I sure do hope you like them. I have a bit of updating to do to get everything completely ship shape, but we are off to a good start.
Spring is in full bloom here in England and we are enjoying our first Bank Holiday (long weekend) of May. Life feels like it is returning a bit more to normal – we even have some international travel planned! There are trips to the US and Canada planned later in the year and I’ll soon be winging my way to Ireland.
So it’s no surprise that I’m thinking a lot about How To Look Your Best While Travelling! Get all my latest hints and tips by clicking on the link. Please watch this space for travel stories and updated travel information on The Emerald Isle.
If you are thinking of updating your wardrobe for spring, I’ve got 5 Easy Steps to Help You Refresh Your Wardrobe that will make you look forward to getting dressed in the morning.
What’s Cooking in My Kitchen?
Cooking seasonally as much as possible is so important to me and never is it easier than in spring! Fresh British asparagus, all kinds of fruit and vegetables – even the first strawberries – are coming to our farm shops and farmers markets at the moment. It’s such a lovely time of year in the kitchen. Recently we enjoyed one of my favourite fish recipes.

The May Edition – Featured Posts
Thank you all for sharing your inspiring content! Here are the featured posts for the May Edition of Hearth and Soul.
I love stationery and planners of all kinds, but the most important thing about planners is to use them effectively. Maria of Krafty Planner shared the Secrets To Using Your Planner More Effectively with the party last month. I found her ideas really helpful – especially her tips on weekly planning sessions.
Fresh herbs can make such a difference to your recipes and I almost always have some growing on my windowsill. Suzan of It’s My Sustainable Life’s post on Growing Rosemary From Cuttings can help you get started too.
Do you love chocolate as much as I do? I’m always up for a new chocolate cake recipe – and there’s bonus points if it is easy too. Well, not only is Jean of Delightful Repast’s One-Bowl Guinness Chocolate Cake easy, it is made without eggs or butter so it is vegan too.
Pamela of Style Yourself Confident takes a look at HM The Queen’s rainbow wardrobe and shares spring style tips in her Mid-April Magazine.
Brighten up your home for spring with this pretty DIY Fabric Scrap Wreath from Donna of Modern on Monticello.
On with the party!
