Happy New Year! Welcome back to The Hearth and Soul Link Party. There’s lots of New Year Inspiration this week to help make 2019 your best year ever.
Blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul, are welcome here at Hearth and Soul. This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday season. My family and I had a lovely time, especially as our celebration extended into the first week of January for family birthdays.
Our son and his partner have birthdays a day apart and it has become a bit of a tradition to spend a couple of days up in London celebrating. Here we are at one of our favourite London restaurants, Le Caprice, enjoying a family dinner.
Have you made New Year’s Resolutions this year?
I’ve made some New Year Aspirations. My word for the year is ‘Expand’, to encourage me to broaden my horizons both personally and professionally. Do you have a word for the year?
New Year Inspiration Features

I’m glad you had a nice time up in London with your son and his partner. One of these days I’ll get over to see my cousin Bill and his partner Michael but for now we all Facebook! Seems we all are spread across the United States and we only get together at weddings or the other thing… Lol! Love Facebook and blogging and other social media for keeping families closer! 🙂
Definitely going to check out your featured posts above! The pasta looks wonderful and the writer’s daughter looks sweet. <3 And I don't know how to harden off seedlings and it is definitely something I'll need here in Texas with temps down to 8 degrees F. with our coming house soon!
Have a great week and Happy Birthday to the birthday crowd! Mine was on Jan. 7th ~ another year older. 😉
Hugs,
Barb 🙂
