Blog posts old and new, about anything that feeds the soul, are welcome here at the Hearth and Soul Link Party. This includes – but is not limited to – family, home, recipes, decorating, crafts, DIY, travel, organisation, book reviews, the arts and self improvement. What did you want to be when you were little?
Are there any similarities between what you are doing now and what you wanted to be? I really would love to know – and of course I share my answers to this question as well!
Last week it was all about comfort food with a warming vegan main course and a classic slice and bake cookie recipe.
Whether you are vegetarian, vegan or just trying to eat less meat, you are sure to love my Old Fashioned Vegetable & Barley Stew recipe. A delicious part of a healthy eating plan, it’s warming and comforting with a toothsome texture that makes it incredibly satisfying.
Ever had a cookie emergency?
Never be more than 15 minutes away from hot, fresh cookies with my easy recipe for Slice and Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies. There’s something so lovely about having lovely logs of cookie dough stashed away in the fridge or freezer.
Thank you to everyone who visited and shared last week.

It’s a pleasure, Marilyn! I’m just starting to think about Valentine’s Day myself. We will be in California then. I hope your winter settles down a bit. Ours has been very mild here in the UK which is a bit unsettling – I wonder what it has up it’s sleeve! It’s probably good we will be away for some of it!
Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
