These spring beauty favourites are products I have tried and tested personally, so I am excited to recommend them to you. A combination of newer products I have tried recently and those I have used for many years, I hope you will find these recommendations helpful if you are looking to refresh your beauty routine.
Spring Beauty Favourites
Hair
I love Dry Bar’s Triple Sec 3-in-1 Texturising Finishing Spray (not an affiliate link). It’s fabulous to add body to any finished blow dry as well as instead of dry shampoo, to refresh second day hair.
About five years ago, my hairdresser recommended Olaplex. Olaplex products are bond builders, specially designed for coloured hair. I started using Olaplex No. 4 Shampoo and Olaplex No. 5 Conditioner and could see results almost from the first time I used them. Their repairing and rejuvenating properties have made a huge difference to my hair.
I now also use Olaplex No. 0 and Olaplex No. 3, deep conditioners used in combination, designed for use at home. Olaplex products are pricey but for me they are definitely worth the investment. My hair is much stronger than it was, and is smoother and less frizzy. It’s also thicker, but that may also be due to the collagen that I started taking around the same time (more about that in a second). You can find out more about Olaplex on their website.
Absolute Collagen
This product goes above and beyond being one of my spring beauty favourites. Within weeks of starting to take Absolute Collagen a couple of years ago, I noticed my skin was not as dry. After a couple of months, my hairdresser commented on how much new hair growth I had. This increase has continued ever since; my hair is now much thicker than it was before. My nails are also much stronger. In fact, I have been so pleased with the results, I recommend Absolute Collagen to all my friends and colleagues.
If you are interested to give Absolute Collagen a try, you can get £10 off your first subscription order by following my affiliate link.
Absolute Collagen is marine collagen so it is not vegetarian or vegan. Please do check with your doctor or health care professional before taking any new to you supplements.
Skin Spring Beauty Must Haves
If I am in a hurry, there’s nothing like Dior’s Dreamskin One Minute Mask. Believe it or not, I really can see a difference in the appearance of my skin in just a minute, although you can leave the mask on a bit longer if you have time. It’s definitely one of my spring beauty favourites.
My favourite cleaner all year round is by ESPA. Their Optimal Skin Pro Cleanser has little beads that gently exfoliate as you cleans and you can use this product as a mask as well.
Liz Earle’s new Smooth and Glow Exfoliating Tonic is one of my new spring beauty favourites. This toner gently resurfaces but is very refreshing at the same time. I have sensitive skin, so I only use it two or three times a week, but I have been very pleased with the results.
Crème de la Mer moisturizing cream has been my go to for over ten years. I get cross with how they keep putting the price up but it works so well for me I can’t resist buying it. Try a small container first before splurging on a larger one just to make sure you are as happy with it as I am!
I also use Crème de la Mer Regenerating Serum before applying Crème de la Mer.
These products are real all rounders, not just spring beauty must haves for me. Please do bear in mind that it is really important to wear a good facial sunscreen all year round, in addition to the sunscreen in your moisturiser or foundation.
Eyes
Like many women, I have found that my brows are not as thick now I am older. (Why is it that men’s brows grow wild when they are older, but ours get sparser? Very unfair!) I’ve had great results with Revitabrow. Be sure to buy from the official website or a reputable salon. Olaplex also have a new eyebrow serum but I have yet to try it.
My eyebrows have started to come in white in places so normally, I have them tinted. However when this is not possible I use Blinc eyebrow mousse. Available in a selection of colours (I use dark blond), it makes my eyes look much more defined. Use a very light hand when applying. If you use too much your brows may look too dark.
I use Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-Aging and Intensive Repair eye serum every morning and their Retinol Ceramide Line Erasing Eye Cream at night. Another one of my spring beauty favourites? Mary Kay’s Indulge Soothing Eye Gel. It’s perfect on those mornings when your eyes feel a little puffy.
Lips
I recently tried Dior Addict Lip Maximiser Serum and it is making my lips feel much softer and smoother.
In addition to moisturising, it’s important to exfoliate your lips regularly. I love the convenience of Dior’s Lip Sugar Scrub. It’s packaged like a lipstick and even has a bit of tint, so you can exfoliate and add a little colour at the same time.
Spring Beauty Favourites – Professional Treatments
I love professional facials and other beauty treatments when we are able to have them. Regular maintenance and treatment can reap big rewards. In spring I always make sure I am up to date with all my treatments, including CACI facials (not an affiliate link), manicures, pedicures and regular eyelash and eyebrow care.
All of these Spring Beauty Favourites are absolutely based on my personal experience of products and services I have purchased myself. I have no connection with the companies who manufacture them and cannot guarantee your personal results, nor be liable for any issues you may have if you use the products/services. Always patch test products on a small area of skin before using them and consult with a doctor or health care professional before taking any new to you supplements.

I’ve head good things about the wild ginger shampoo, thanks for your input.
It really is wonderful, Karen 🙂
I’m definitely in the “less is more” beauty product club but I have to admit recently I’ve been feeling a little drab. And, April, in person you always look so radiant: I must conclude you know what you’re talking about!
You definitely don’t look drab, Pauline! It’s amazing how a little help can give me a lift though 🙂 Thank you so much for the compliment!
Impressive! Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you 🙂
I have never bought a lip scrub but I make one at home with coconut oil and brown sugar and follow up with a lip mask. Perhaps I’ll try your recommendation.
Your lip scrub sounds delicious, Yvonne, and sugar is such a great exfoliant. I haven’t tried a lip mask before. That sounds lovely!
Hello April, I love that photo of you as you look beautiful. This is a great list of beauty products. I’ve heard great things about the Opalex line of products and I will give them a try. I hope you have a nice week April.
Thank you so much, Julie! What a lovely compliment! I definitely recommend the Olaplex products for coloured hair. They rescued my hair when it was going through a rough patch and since then it has gone from strength to strength 😀 My son’s partner uses them as well. I hope you have a nice week too!
