My Best Fall Baking IdeasThere’s just something about fall! After the long, hot days of summer, the cooler weather and darker evenings make me crave a return to the kitchen. The abundance of autumn fruit and vegetables that lend themselves so easily to baking – pumpkins, apples and squash to name just a few – make it easy to come up with my best fall baking ideas. There’s nothing like walking into a home where the air is redolent with spices to make you feel instantly warm and cosy.

So make yourself a hot drink, pull up a chair and join me as I share some of my best fall baking ideas.

My Best Fall Baking Ideas
Start the day with one of my delicious Pumpkin Gingerbread Muffins. Moist and spicy, these tasty treats make a great breakfast on the go.

My Best Fall Baking Ideas
My friend Heather’s Pumpkin Cake recipe cuts into lots of delicious bars so there is plenty to share.

My Best Fall Baking Ideas
I’m always looking for different ways to use the huge variety of squash that are available this time of year. My Butternut Pecan Loaf Cake is a mouthwatering way to use up your butternut squash.

My Best Fall Baking Ideas
My Applesauce, Date and Walnut Loaf Cake tastes even more delicious when it’s made with homemade applesauce.

My Best Fall Baking Ideas
Did you know that sweet potatoes taste great in baking? Try my Sweet Potato Bread to find out just how delicious they can be!

My Best Fall Baking Ideas
This Banana Gingerbread with Ginger Icing is a teatime treat you’ll want to make again and again.

My Best Fall Baking Ideas
Perfect for company, this Banana Date Cake with Walnut and Honey Glaze tastes even better a day or two after it is made.

All of my best baking ideas are great for entertaining and they also make great gifts for family and friends. For me, that is what fall is all about – returning to hearth and home and drawing those we love close as the colder, darker days of winter approach. I hope these recipes will enhance your enjoyment of this wonderful season!

If you enjoyed this post you may also enjoy this Spicy Pumpkin Bundt Cake.

You are spot on. Fall spices do make everything feel warm, comfortable, and cozy. We are having our first taste of fall this weekend and I am loving it even if it’s overcast and gloomy. The air is crisp and breezy. It certainly does make me want to bake something, especially after seeing your breads and cakes.
Thank you for sharing with See Ya in the Gumbo this week!
