Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to use autumn’s bounty in your baking – pumpkin, squashes and sweet potato make great sweet as well as savoury treats. I always keep lots of muffins, loaf cakes and desserts on hand over the holidays. They make great breakfasts or last minute hostess gifts and it’s always nice to be able to offer visitors a hot cup of tea or coffee and a piece of homemade cake.
