Looking for easy vegetarian recipes the whole family will enjoy? You’ve come to the right place! Whether you are experimenting with a vegetarian lifestyle or simply want to eat less meat, there are delicious ideas here for everyone.
I was vegetarian for a few years in my teens and although I now eat meat and fish, I consider myself an Occasional Vegetarian. I love trying and creating delicious new recipes to help my family eat less meat.
Why Eat Less Meat?
Eating less meat can benefit your health, the environment and your bank balance.
Too much red and processed meat can definitely be a detriment to your health, and some people makes it find them feel sluggish. Eating less meat may even help prevent some diseases.
According to Walter Willett, a professor of epidemiology and nutrition at Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health, the production of animal-based foods, particularly beef, is responsible for about half the food system’s greenhouse gas emissions.
Plant-based protein sources including legumes and vegetables are generally a lot cheaper than meat. Cooking plant based meals a couple of days a week can seriously reduce the cost of your weekly shop.

I have been a vegetarian since I was 9 years old, I think everyone thought it would be short lived, but here I am, all these years later! When people ask me ‘what do you eat’ or ‘it must be so boring’ I always say no and still feel shocked people think that, there are so many delicious vegetarian dishes out there, many of them on this post! I am also now feeling incredibly hungry!
I agree, Hayley, there are so many interesting and delicious vegetarian dishes out there you could never get bored – and thank you so much for the compliment 🙂
Though I can’t follow a vegan diet all my life since I love meat, but still I agree with you vegetarian doesn’t have to be boring, and here is a great example for that. What a gorgeous vegetarian roundup. Pinning.
I wouldn’t want to give up meat entirely either, Hadia. I would miss it too much! Thank you so much for the compliment and for pinning too 🙂
