So many people worry about cooking fish and seafood but these recipes make it simple. As long as you use good quality ingredients, you should get delicious results.
Fish is easy to digest, high in protein and contains unsaturated fatty acids that may benefit your health. Many fish also contain the omega 3 oils so vital to heart health. Depending on how fish is prepared, it can also be lower in fat and calories than meat.
Tips for Making Fish and Seafood Recipes
Fresh fish should smell like the sea – not ‘fishy’ – and should be firm to the touch and slightly moist. If you are buying fish fillets they should firm without any large gaps in the flesh.
You can ask the person at the fish counter to de-scale and fillet the fish if, like me, you prefer your fish to be ready to cook.
Make sure you cook fish until it is tender and easily flaked with a fork.

I know fish is good for me – but I really don’t like it 🙁 I need to cook more of it though because it’s not right for my kiddos not to eat fish just because I don’t! I’ll have to give one of your recipes a try! #supermommyclub
I hope your kids enjoy the recipes – and that maybe you do too, Clare. Sometimes the way fish is cooked can really make a difference to whether or not folks enjoy it 🙂
